Fees, Payments & Refunds

Fees

You may be able to study for free or at a lower cost. If you do have to pay, we try to keep fees low. To book your place on a course you need to:

  • pay in full
  • ask if you can pay monthly
  • ask about your options if you are on a Level 3 course or above
(this may include an Advanced Learner Loan) or prove that your employer is going to pay

Please contact Student Services or reception to discuss any queries with payments.

Paying by instalments

You can pay monthly if your course costs are £60 or over. You will need to pay your first payment when you enrol plus a £10 administration fee payable to the Council. The final payment must be made before the end of your course.

Refunds

If you have paid for your course, we only refund your money if:

  • you write to us 5 working days before the course starts or
  • we cancel the course

If a course is cancelled after it has started, we will refund part of your payment. Please speak to your teacher or the Student Services Team.

Course closures

If there are not enough students on a course, we may close your course or join it with another one.

If this is not possible, we will offer you another course where we will refund your fees pro-rata.
