We want to keep you safe when you use a computer, the internet and social media when you are enrolled in a class at Adult Education Wolverhampton.
We monitor the use of our IT systems. If you go onto inappropriate sites, we will follow the Student Conduct Policy and Procedure. By using our computers or our WiFi you are agreeing to our ICT Acceptable Use Policy. Check the policy available on the AEW website for details.

Keep your personal information private |
We share a lot of personal information on the internet, but this can sometimes be a problem. Someone can steal your personal details. Always check the settings of your social media sites. |

Stay protected |
Use strong passwords (don’t use your date of birth or child’s name). When you choose a password use:
- 16 letters or numbers or special signs, like %, *, @, ?
- upper and lowercase letters.

Share safely |
On social media sites share your personal information and photos only with people you know. |

Be secure |
To stay safe, make sure you have your anti-virus software up to date and check for updates. |

Don’t open email attachments from people you don’t know and never give your personal information in emails. |
