The Student Services team based in the Student Gateway is an experienced and dedicated team of Careers Education Information Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) advisors who provide both existing and prospective students with free, impartial, and inspiring careers education information advice and guidance.

The team can help you to make informed decisions about future study and employment options by:

• providing information about our courses
• providing information before you start a course, so you join the right course and level for you
• offering one-to-one appointments throughout your course to keep you on track to achieve your goals
• providing group information and guidance sessions delivered in the classroom
• providing help and support at the end of your course to provide progression information, advice, and guidance routes to reach your next steps
• signposting to other providers to meet your needs

The team also provides student-centred guidance that includes:

• a personalised CEIAG plan with agreed actions
• routes back into work and education
• ideas about courses leading to employment
• next steps into further or higher education and training
• passport to employment, employability-related information sessions and workshops with opportunities to meet employers plus routes to find, and apply for, volunteering opportunities and job vacancies
